We’re looking for a Senior Development Officer, Partnerships to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of Canada’s leading corporations and organizations to develop meaningful partnerships that support Indspire’s transformative programs, events, and student funding initiatives.
You’ll be part of a passionate team that builds and maintains partnerships with corporate Canada to support Indigenous learners creating powerful opportunities for giving, brand recognition and sponsorship activations. Whether Indigenous or non-Indigenous, we invite candidates who are committed to reconciliation, education, and allyship, and who are excited about using their fundraising expertise to create meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you'll:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of new and existing supporters.
- Preparing compelling sponsorship proposals, presentations, reports, and customized donor materials.
- Collaborating closely with Indspire’s Communications & Marketing, Programs, and Events teams to bring fundable opportunities to life.
- Supporting stewardship efforts to retain and grow corporate support, ensuring partners feel valued and inspired by their impact.
- Representing Indspire at meetings, events, and conferences to strengthen connections and promote giving opportunities.
- Helping shape donor activations for major events such as the Indspire Awards, Soaring: Indigenous Youth Empowerment Gathering, and the National Gathering for Indigenous Education.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Post-secondary degree or equivalent.
- Minimum five years of success in fundraising, sponsorships, or corporate partnerships.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build authentic relationships and present compelling cases for support based on donor needs and organizational needs.
- Strong writing, proposal development, and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of Indigenous communities and cultures is an asset; openness to learning and cultural humility is essential.
- Strategic thinker and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Experience using CRM software (Raiser’s Edge preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
- Ability to travel within Canada and work occasional evenings or weekends, as required.

Compensation
